Out of the many prayers that I say throughout each day these three words rarely slip through my lips. I praise God and I thank Him, but the one thing that He really wants to hear is the one thing that I neglect to say. I make sure to tell my son and my husband at least 7 times every morning and every night how much I love them, how much they mean to me, but I forget to tell the One who gave me this amazing family how much I am in love with Him.
How many prayers have I prayed without tears?
How many opportunities have I missed to give God what much of the world denies Him?
Little man had a moment during our bedtime devotional one night where he said, “But mommy, I don’t know how to pray.” I told him just to say whatever was on his heart..he did..and it was beautiful. He said, “God, I thank you for this wonderful day that you have given me with my family…and….God…..I love you…soooooo much!”…From the mouth of babes comes a mother’s renewal. I realized in that moment that God is so simple. His love so divine. He doesn’t ask for eloquence. He doesn’t ask for perfection. He simply asks for love.
Dear Father in Heaven, God who created me, Savior of the entire universe..
I love you!

This post was such a great reminder of the simple things we need not forget when praying. I love hearing stories about children and their love for the Lord. I can’t wait to experience that soon!
This is great. I love hearing children pray to God! 🙂
