The journey to our destiny can become arduous and tedious. Frustration and hopelessness tend to mount up and take residence in our soul. We become restless and anxious because the promises that God declared have not come into the full manifestation yet. Despite the encouragement and empowerment of the word of God, we tend to shift into natural mode and walk this journey in fear. We fear what our natural eyes see in the present. We are not supposed to go by what our eyes see, but by the faith that should be planted and cultivated within us. We get tired of the view because it doesn’t match what God said. We tire of hearing prophetic declarations over our lives; we tire of hearing the pastor preach a word that seems to be for everyone else; we tire of hearing advice. We get weary while doing good. We allow the feelings of the flesh to supersede the truth of God’s promises. We just get tired….

…but there is a way to be Refreshed, Revived, and Restored; to be renewed, to receive strength to continue the journey, to breathe freely, to enjoy each moment God gives us to rest in the shelter of His arms.

We need to Exchange, Trust, and Taste.

Exchange – Give God the burden of being tired, restless, frustrated and hopeless. Our heavenly Father wants us to be prosperous in all aspects of our life. We tend to pick up burdens along the journey that are unnecessary, that weigh us down.  Let God be the One to handle the impossible.

Trust – God does not operate out of our logic and analyses. His ways, thoughts, actions are higher than what we can or will ever fully comprehend. Once we completely surrender to His will and really believe that His word has no other choice but to come to pass, that’s when our faith is rebuilt and strengthened and our trust is secured.

Taste – Feast on God, feast on His word, feast on what He says will come to pass in your life, feast on His faithfulness, feast on His love, joy, peace, kindness, grace, mercy, compassion. Feast on everything about God. Fill your spirit with the Holy Spirit. Be full of God and there will be no room for anything else.

God wants us to rely on Him for what we need and desire so that we won’t have to fear, doubt, be anxious or depressed. There is such a sweetness when we rest in God and allow Him to handle what we know is too much for us. He does not want us to become tired, disinterested, and discouraged during this journey. He wants us flourish, to be fruitful, and joyful. God wants so much for us. We just need to give Him the room to operate in His fullness so that we can enjoy an abundant life. He does not promise that this journey will be perfect, but He does promise to be with us the whole way. We don’t know what lies ahead but if we find ourselves weary and worn along the way, God is able to refresh, revive and restore.
